Woodland Wedding - Wyre Forest Discovery Centre

If, like Claire and Brendan, you’re a festival lover and your idea of the perfect weekend away is getting off the beaten track somewhere in the great outdoors, then what better place to hold your wedding reception in a tipi surrounded by the beautiful woodland of the Wyre Forest in Bewdley.

I don’t think Claire and Brendan could have picked a venue more suited to them and given that Brendan is Glastonbury festival’s biggest advocate, that seemed like an obvious theme for their wedding, with each of the tables taking a name from the festival’s many famous stages. I loved the fact that they’d even thought about adding a ‘kidz field’ to keep the younger guests out of mischief.

The day started with preparations at the Royal Forester Country Inn down the road and then a quick stop at the Kidderminster Registry Office at the Town Hall to say “I do” before the couple and their guests headed off to the woods to get the party started.

The tipi was beautifully decorated with woodland flowers and fir branches which really added to the venues charm and left that fresh pine smell in the air. And of course no festival wedding would be complete without a fire pit to huddle around once the sun had set.

It was an absolutely perfect day even if the weather did keep us on our toes a bit (it wouldn’t be Glastonbury without a bit of rain!) but thankfully they left the mud back at Worthy Farm.

Thank you for letting me be part of your wedding guys, I don’t think you could have done it better!

Much love
