Sarah & Nick - Festival Wedding, Newlands Bishop Farm
And the award for the coolest wedding of the year goes to...
As soon as I heard there was a Mexican themed tequila tent I was in! You have to hand it to Sarah & Nick for putting together a wedding that was truly unique and also admire their shear 'cojones' for having the entire wedding party outdoors. I don’t know what they did to appease the British weather gods but whatever it was it worked.
Sarah, being a wedding photographer herself, has experienced countless weddings, so it was important to her that her own wedding stood out from the crowd and was one to remember.
The couple tied the knot at St. Alphege Church in Solihull town centre and then hitched a lift in a vintage camper van to Newlands Bishop Farm for the festival-themed reception.
Sarah & Nick have three adorable children, two of which are twins (big yay as I’m also one of a pair), so they wanted to have a wedding where their kids could have the time of their lives. How did they do that? They put on tons of vintage fairground games, hired a giant inflatable slide and a bouncy castle and all sorts of awesomeness to keep all the little people entertained.
There was of course also something for the grown-ups. The entertainment throughout the day was provided by various rock bands who performed on a transformer style lorry which folded out into a stage and the before mentioned tequila tent was also being frequented rather regularly (you know who you are!).
Of course no festival would be complete without some camping and this pair did it in style with gorgeous bell tents, spending the night melting marshmallows on the campfire with the guests who were also staying the night.
After all that I feel like I need to go and dig out my tent and try and get myself a Glastonbury ticket!
